Nature发布史上100篇高被引文章
2014年10月29日，Nature联合汤森路透（Thomson Reuters）联合发布史上100篇高被引文章。此次检索覆盖了Web of Science自1900年至今收录的全部文献。
这100篇论文分布于生物信息学（Bioinformatics）、生物实验室技术（Biology lab technique）、晶体学（Crystallography）、数学与统计（Mathematics/statistics）、医用统计（Medical statistics）、医学（Medicine）、系统发生学（Phylogenetics）、物理化学（Physical chemistry）、物理（Physics）及心理学与精神病学（Psychology/psychiatry）等10个学科。
其中最高被引为生物实验室技术领域的“Protein measurement with the folin phenol reagent.”，关于溶液中蛋白质的量的测定，总被引高达305148次。最低被引也达到了12119次，这一数字十分令人震撼。心理学与精神病学领域有6篇文章入榜，详情见下表，排序数字为该文章在100篇中的位置。
有意思的是，除去少部分经典发现，如碳纳米管（carbon nanotubes）的发现进入榜单外（第36位），许多极富盛名的研究却并未入榜，相当一部分文章是关于实验方法或软件的介绍。
