Other AbstractTaking college students as subjects, this research explored how the emotionality of materials affected undergraduates' condi- tional reasoning. With conditional propositions of different emotional valence as materials, this study used eye movement equipment to record the process and results of their conditional reasoning, by means of two factors within- subjects design of 3 (the emotionality of materials :positive valence, negative valence, the neutral valence) × 4( inference types:MP, DA,AC, MT). The results showed that un- dergraduates ' outcomes of their conditional reasoning were worse when the materials were in a positive valence or negative valence than in a neutral valence, and the results supported the suporessive hvoothesis
