Team mental workload is an important yet under-investigated construct. Based on an intensive literature review, the applicant proposed a unified framework for its conceptualization, measurement, antecedents and boundary conditions. The current research project will use both linear and non-linear methods to investigate: 1) the reliability and validity of different compilation methods to produce a team level construct using individual-level multi-indicator measurement of mental workload (self-report scales and psychophysiological indicators); 2) the influence of team input variables (such as workload distribution and team coordination training) on team mental workload; 3) the moderation of team structure.
