NoteThis paper explores the effect of temporal variables on co-workers emotional support,instrumental support,and employees' in-role behavior and out-role behavior by data collected from 73 pairs of sales women in a shopping mall through questionnaires.The results show no evidences of statistically significant correlations between the similarity of job tenure,organization tenure and the organizational outcomes for co-workers with long relationship tenure.Data analysis shows that the longer they worked together,the more emotional and instrumental support between them,the more in-role behavior,and the higher organizational commitment.Instrumental support is the mediator variable between relationship tenure and employees in-role behavior.
