This study explores the effect of Work-Life Balance on Work Withdrawal Behaviors, the mediating role of Perceived Stress, the moderating role of Career Calling and Job Satisfaction, based on people tend to choose "Tangping" in the face of severe "Neijuan" environments in modern society. At the same time, we also paid attention to the importance of the phenomenon of the Spring Festival Turnover Wave. By analyzing the differences between various variables in different samples during the Spring Festival and ordinary days, we aimed to further explore the Spring Festival Turnover Wave and the differences among different people from an empirical research perspective. Furthermore, supplemented the research results by analyzing the sub dimensions.
By using the questionnaire, 651 questionnaires with work experiences in at least one year were collected and analyzed in comparing the data of Spring Festival and ordinary days, during the Spring Festival in 2022 and ordinary days which is not special festivals (in April).
The results showed that Work-Life Balance reduced the level of Perceived Stress, and reduced the occurrence of Work Withdrawal Behaviors; Perceived Stress mediated the impact of Work-Life Balance on Work Withdrawal Behaviors; people who with a high level of Career Calling, when the sense of Work-Life Balance was strong, may reduce more Work Withdrawal Behaviors; people who with a high level of Job Satisfaction have less Work Withdrawal Behaviors when they have a strong sense of Work-Life Balance. Compared with ordinary days, people have a stronger sense of Work-Life Imbalance, a lower sense of Career Calling and Job Satisfaction, more Work Withdrawal Behaviors. However, there was no significant difference in Perceived Stress levels during the Spring Festival and ordinary days. But its mediating effect was stronger during the Spring Festival than ordinary days. In the sub dimension of Work to Life, whether it is interference or enhancement, there was no direct impact on Work Withdrawal Behaviors and its sub dimension一Physical Withdrawal Behaviors, but it had a direct impact on Psychological Withdrawal Behaviors.
The results of this study were in line with the current social background and situation where people are generally under high pressure, as well as the trend that we need to pay more attention to psychological issues. They have certain reference value and practical significance for individuals to regulate their Work-Life Balance, enterprises to implement organizational management, the development and stability of society. It also provided valuable theoretical and empirical basis for further in-depth research in the future.
