其他摘要 | Children's emotions are important indicators of their mental health, which play an important role in their growth and development, and have been a growing social concern in recent years. Mothers are the primary caregivers of children and have significant influence on children, numerous studies have shown that maternal emotions can significantly influence children's emotions. In this study, a moderated mediating model was constructed to examine the mediating role of parenting behaviors between maternal emotions and children's emotions and the moderating role of maternal trait meta-mood in this mediating model through a cross-sectional study and a diary tracking study, in order to provide some insights into maternal parenting and promote children's healthy development. Among them, the cross-sectional study explored the effects of maternal emotions on children's emotions at the between-individual level, and the diary study explored the effects of maternal emotions on children's emotions at the within-individual level.Study 1 Objective: To investigate the relationship between maternal depression and anxiety, maternal parenting behaviors, maternal trait meta-mood, and children's internalizing behavior problems at the between-individual level using a cross-sectional survey. Methods: 576 mothers were selected as subjects to complete the short version of Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale (CES-D), Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item (GAD-7) Scale, Parenting Behavior Inventory (PBI), Trait Meta-Mood Scale (TMMS), and Achenbach’s Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL). Results: (1) At the between-individual level, maternal depression/anxiety positively predicted children's internalizing behavior problems, and maternal parenting behaviors mediated the relationship between maternal depression & anxiety and children's internalizing behavior problems. (2) Maternal trait meta-mood can not moderated the relationship between maternal depression/anxiety, parenting behaviors and children's internalizing behavior problems at the between-individual level.Study 2 Objective: To explore the relationship between maternal daily emotions, maternal daily parenting behaviors, and children's daily emotions at the within-individual level using a diary method, and investigate the moderating role of maternal trait meta-mood. The relationship between maternal depression/anxiety and maternal daily emotions and children's daily emotions was investigated by cross-level analysis. Methods: Based on Study 1, 140 mothers were selected as subjects and surveyed for 11 consecutive days by diary method using a 6-question mood scale developed by Peter Wilhelm and Dominik Schoebi and an adapted parenting behavior scale. Results: (1) At the within-individual level, maternal daily emotions positively predicted children's daily emotions, and maternal daily parenting behaviors mediated the relationship between maternal daily emotions and children's daily emotions. (2) Maternal trait meta-mood moderated the relationship between maternal daily emotions, maternal daily parenting behaviors and children's daily emotions: the better the maternal attention and clarity of mood, the less the effect of their daily emotions on children's daily emotions; the better the maternal attention of mood, the greater the effect of her daily parenting behaviors on the child's daily emotions; the better the maternal reparability of mood, the greater the effect of their daily emotions on daily support/engaged parenting behaviors. (3) Maternal depression/ anxiety significantly predicted maternal daily emotions, and maternal daily emotions fully mediated the relationship between maternal depressive/anxiety and children's daily emotions. Conclusions: Maternal emotions can influence children's emotions at both between-individual and within-individual levels, and maternal parenting behaviors play a mediating role. This mediating role can be moderated by maternal trait meta-mood at within-individual level. Across levels, maternal depression/anxiety have an indirect effect on children's daily emotions through maternal daily emotions. |
