本研究根据刺激一反应相容性(Stimulus-Response Compatibility)中群体模板〔population stereotype)的定义，提出度量S-R相容性程度的相容性系数这一概念和计算公式，以及运用相容性系数的值评价预测汉字标准键盘编码输人法易学性的方法.研究中使用实验室实验考察了相容性系数对信息加工的影响，结果表明相容性系数的值越大，信息、加工越快越好，从而证明了计算相容性系数可以实现对相容性的量化.然后运用本研究的方法对三种常用汉字标准键盘编码输人方案的易学性进行了实际测量，并用实验结果检验了预测结果的准确性和科学性，证实了本研究所提出的用相容性系数预测汉字编码方案易学性的方法是一种科学、准确、简便、实用的方法.

Stimulus-Response Compatibility, an important concept in psychology, has been demonstrated that it is one of the most influential factors in human information processing. Complexity of inputting Chinese characters into computers raised the problem of evaluating of learning easiness. This study applied the concept of Population stereotype, a kind of S-R Compatibility which is produced from the culture and customs, to put forward a new method of evaluating the easiness of learning to master a Chinese characters imputing program.

In order to quantify the population stereotype compatibility, a new concept Compatibility Index which represent the value of the compatibility was suggested and two formulations were put forward to calculate the Compatibility Index in either a single pair of stimuli-response or a set of stimulus responses. . The value of the stimulus-response compatibility was used to predict the easiness of learning Chinese characters inputting programs. Three most popular Chinese characters imputing programs, were used in this study. The real learning easiness drown from an experiment confirmed the predictability of the-method suggested. It has been demonstrated that the higher the compatibility is, the better the information will be processed in quicker and more correct response.
