| Abstract | This paper presents the effects of individual difference on the performance of remotely located pairs of people's completing collaborative tasks in different media conditions. The results of two experiments were analyzed. A map task and a concept-learning task were used in two experiments, respectively. Two persons in a pair performed the map task or the concept-learning task using either audio-only or audio-plus-video for communication. The results indicated that people's psychological functions were critical to understanding the processes and structures of collaborative work. |
