摘要	As has been studied, when a word in a sentence is focused on, its all syllables will be lengthened (Wieke Eefting, 1991). But sometimes, contrastive accent may be focused on a phrase or a syllable; and in Chinese, because most syllables bear some meaning, the chances that contrastive accent is focused on a syllable are much more than in other languages. This research has proved that the domain that is lengthened is varied with the domain on which contrastive accent is focused.
