摘要Children and adults from Beijing and Munich were tested in a series of memory taskes and compared in performance, retrieval organizations and metamemory protocols. Ss were urban grade-2, grade-4 children and college students. The results proved the universal strategic and metamemory processes, and shed lights on cultural/national effects on various memory components. To further clear up the effects of age and schooling, samples were collected in the countryside in China. The rural children were two years older than urban pupils of the same grade. The urban-rural difference could be due to school quality, language ability and procedural metamemory knowledge.
