AbstractIn this work, the associations between personality trait and gene protein expressions were evaluated in seventy women with breast cancer. The personality traits of these patients were examined with the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ) before operation, while the gene protein expression including p53, c-erbB-2 and BRCA1 of their breast lesions were assessed by immunohistochemistry method. Data showed that 75.5% of the breast cancer patients were associated with c-erbB-2 gene expression and 70.2% of the patients were associated with BRCA1 gene expression. It was further found that breast cancer patients with p53 mutation or c-erbB-2 over-expression were more extraverted.
