Self or group? Individualism-collectivism influences on feedback effects

摘要One dimension of culture-individualism and collectivism was investigated to test hypotheses that for individualists, individual feedback would have a stronger impact on performance than collectivists and vice versa., a 2×2 between subjects design (type of feedback: positive and negative & target of feedback: individual and group) was used. 171 MBA students in 20 groups., and the in-basket task as a simulation of their performance. The results show that the subjects who received group feedback had better performance than that who had individual feedback and I-C moderate the effects of feedback.
