摘要 | It is important to develop the affective norms of Chinese words for research on Emotion and cognition. 1500 two-character Chinese noun, verb and adjective words, were assessed into 4 dimensions with 9-point-scale in 64 undergraduates. Four dimensions consist of pleasantness, invitation, dominance, and familiarity. The factor pleasantness and invitation are two necessary factors of the dominance. The result endues with these Chinese words the affective meanings and it therefore provides a useful tool in studies of emotion and cognition in China, and also a helpful set of normative emotional ratings for a large number of words in the Chinese language. |
