摘要 | In this study, we investigated how the number processing was influenced by the attention. Numbers in different magnitudes (1-4 and 6-9) and notations (Chinese and Arabic) were presented in attended condition (in the center) or unattended condition (3°¡ã left or right of the center). The task was comparing numbers with 5. Two major number processing effects, number distance effect and number notation effect, were tested. The results of our study showed that numbers of different magnitude had no processing difference in attended condition, but had significant processing difference in unattended condition. This indicated that attention influenced number processing differently according to number's magnitude. |
