Other AbstractAnxiety disorder is a common mental illness. With the growing social pressure, incidence of this disease has been rising gradually.Early studies have proved that GABA receptors play an important role in the progress of anxiety disorders. At present, multiple subtypes of GABA receptors have been discovered which involved in the pathogenesis and treatment of anxiety disorder. The aim of this paper is to review the recent progress of different subtypes of GABA receptors and pharmaceutical intervention via different mechanisms related to anxiety disorder.
