Abstract | Many reports have been published on the relationship between emotion and monoamine neurotransmitters. It is known that when people are excited the catecholamines and such metabolites in their urine increase. In animals, the level of brain monoamines, especially the catecholamines also changes during stress and sham anger. This paper is a report on our exploration into the influence of emotion on pain threshold and brain monoamine concentrations through the establishment of an emotional conditioned reflex for albino rats. |
