The emotional memory of children with autism involves abnormalities in neural networks, profoundly affecting their social interactions and emotional understanding. This article delves into the characteristics of emotional memory in children with autism, highlighting deficits in the integration of episodic memory and the absence of a positive bias in autobiographical memory. An understanding of the underlying mechanisms behind these characteristics can be gleaned through the analysis of the Weak Central Coherence hypothesis,Executive Functioning Impairment hypothesis, and Theory of Mind Deficit hypothesis.Additionally, from a neurobiological perspective, neurodevelopmental mechanisms also play a significant role in the emotional memory of children with autism. These findings deepen the understanding of the anomalies in the emotional memory of children with autism and provide theoretical guidance for future treatment and intervention.
