Other Abstract本研究在Higgins提出的调节倾向理论的基础上,以大学生为被试,利用相关和实验的研究方法,采用多种任务逐步地验证了影响个体动机的几个因素。主要研究结果如下:1)      在大学生群体中确实存在着两种不同的动机倾向:追求成功和避免失败。但在大学生被试中,以避免失败倾向为中心的个体多于以追求成功倾向为中心的个体。2)      Higgins等人编制的“调节倾向问卷”在大学生被试中具有较好的适用性。同时对该问卷两个分量表的反应潜伏期也可以较有效地衡量个体两种调节倾向的强度。3)      个体中存在的两种长期调节倾向的强度与个体成长的家庭环境和父母教养方式具有密切关系。轻松活泼的家庭环境易于形成积极追求成功的倾向,而严肃强调责任的家庭环境易于形成努力避免失败的倾向。4)      与以回避为中心的个体相比,以追求为中心的个体在同样面临有风险的任务时更具有积极行动的意愿、更具有冒险倾向;相对而言,以回避为中心的个体则较保守(研究三和研究四都证明了这一点)。5)      不同的调节倾向的个体,在行为失败时所产生的后悔情绪的强度有所不同。一旦具有冒险性质的行为失败,以回避倾向为主的个体比以追求倾向为主的个体产生更强的后悔情绪。任务性质和激励方式这两种外界条件对个体完成任务的精力投入和结果有显著的交互作用。当两者相匹配时,个体愿意投入的努力更多,完成任务的结果也更好。; Based on Higgins’ Regulatory-focus Theory, the present research took Chinese college students as subjects and explored how regulatory focuses and external factors worked on the motivation by correlational and experimental methods. Results showed as follows:1)      There were two different regulations in college students: promotion self-regulation and prevention self-regulation, and the quantity of individuals in promotion focus was much larger than that of those in promotion focus.2)      The Regulatory Focus Questionnaire designed by Higgins and his colleagues was also effective to college students; and the individuals’ reaction time to the two subscales of the questionnaire could also effectively index the strength of their two regulatory focuses.3)      Individuals’ chronic regulatory focuses were relative to their family environment and the quality of parental involvement. Parenting characterized by encouraging accomplishments and advancements produced promotion focus. In contrast, parenting characterized by emphasizing duties and obligations produced prevention focus. 4)      Facing the same task with risk, the promotion focus individuals were more venturesome than the prevention focus individuals (the results of Study 3 and Study 4 both showed that).5)      Once their risky activities ended in failure, the prevention focus individuals showed stronger repentance for doing it than the promotion focus ones.The task’s character and the inspiration had significant interactive effect on individual’s performance; their compatibility would greatly increase individuals’ motivation and performance.
