目的:了解现阶段心理咨询师的需要特点和性格特点。方法:采用爱德华个性偏向量表(EPPS)和艾森克人格问卷(EPQ)对117名心理咨询师进行调查。结果:咨询师的学历对各种需要倾向都没有明显影响(P>0.05)。但需要有一定的性别和年龄差异,男性咨询师在自主、支配需要上的得分显著高于女性咨询师(P<0.05); 随着年龄的增高,顺从、扶助需要有逐渐增高的倾向(P<0.01,P<0.05),而表现需要则有逐渐降低的倾向(P<0.01)。咨询师较低的需要倾向是攻击、表现、顺从、谦卑、异性恋,较高的需要倾向是省察、扶助、变异。咨询师的性格特点表现为高外倾性、低精神质。EPQ与EPPS的多项评定结果相关。结论:大部分被调查的咨询师的优势需要与该职业应具备的人格特征基本一致。

Objective： To find out the tendency of needs and personality characteristics of counselors at present time. Methods： The needs and personality of 117 counselors were assessed by EPPS and EPQ. Results： There were no significant differences among different academic credentials while sexuality and age affect the needs tendency of counselors. Scores of male counselors in autonomy and dorminance needs were higher than those of female ones; with the increase of age, the counselors had increasing tendency of deference and nurse needs, but lower in exhibition need. The lower needs of the counselors were aggression, exhibition ,deference ,abasement and heterosexuality,the higher ones were introspection,nurse and change. Their personality characteristics indicated high extrovision and low psychoticism. The results of multiple estimation of EPQ and EPPS were related. Conclusion： The dominant tendency of needs in most investigated counselors are basically coincident with the personality needed by their profession.
